Balsall Common Lions are proud to support the youth of the local community, and we do so in a variety of ways …
Most recently, we were pleased to be able to support some local Scouts, and to provide them with a small amount of financial backing towards their visit to the 24th World Scout Jamboree held in West Virginia, USA – during the summer.
And, at our last two Lions Meetings, we were pleased to receive highly informative on the once in a lifetime experiences for Amy Shadbolt of Balsall Common Scouts, and John Roberts, Peter Walker and Daniel Locker of Meriden Scouts
The 2019 World Scout Jamboree was held from July 22 through August 2, 2019, at The Summit Bechtel Reserve in the beautiful mountains of West Virginia, USA. Unlike any other youth event, a world Scout jamboree enables Scouts to surround themselves in the cultures of the world by joining new Scouting friends at a single destination for 12 unforgettable days.
They have made lifelong friendships and memories with young people from more than 160 national Scout organizations representing more than 200 nations. Unlock a new world of life-changing experiences that will help them develop their physical, intellectual, emotional, social, and spiritual life. Bike, hike, climb, fly, and swim at the world’s premier youth adventure camp.
Their experience at the Jamboree gave them an experience of new adventures, cultures, and friendships shared with Scouts from around the world during the event.
