Balsall Common Lions Club Charity Quiz Raises £1000 for Solihull Hospital Patient Waiting Area

In a heart-warming display of community support and generosity, Balsall Common Lions Club and The White Horse Balsall Common joined forces to donate £1000 to Solihull Hospital for the installation of two televisions in the patient waiting area.

After two successful quiz nights, to raise funds for a very worthwhile project that would enhance the hospital experience for patients. The initiative was brought to life when Di Greenway, a sister in the hospital's department, approached Balsall Common Lions Club for assistance. Recognising the importance of creating a comfortable and relaxing environment for patients awaiting surgery, Di requested two televisions to be installed in the patient waiting area. These TVs would not only provide entertainment but significantly will serve as a source of distraction and relaxation, helping patients alleviate pre-operation anxiety.

The installation of these televisions will undoubtedly bring comfort and solace to patients, making their hospital experience a little brighter.
